OLVM Sisters stand against death penalty

Victory Noll Sisters have had a corporate commitment to abolish the death penalty since the early 1980's.

We join the Catholic Bishops of Indiana in their opposition to the announcement of the Justice Department in July, reinstating the federal death penalty which ends a 16 year moratorium.

Five men are to be executed from December through January.

"We respectfully implore that the sentences of all federal death-row inmates be commuted to life imprisonment." —Bishops of Indiana, October 2019, Respect Life Month.
