Sr. Joseph Ann Kostka, OLVM

SSISTER JOSEPH ANN KOSTKA, OLVM, 93, a resident of Saint Anne at Victory Noll, died Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Saint Anne at Victory Noll, Huntington, Indiana.

Sister Joseph Ann was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois on November 13, 1926, to Joseph Kostka and Vilma Ondrejka Kostka.

She entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on October 5, 1950, making first vows on August 5, 1953. Her first mission was in Elk, Nevada and she served in the missions in Utah and Colorado before serving in several missions in California. In 1983, Sister Joseph Ann began ministering in religious education for St. Linus Parish in Norwalk, California, where she would continue to minister until her return to Victory Noll in the spring of 2013.

Sister Joseph Ann is preceded in death by her parents and two younger brothers; Edward and Robert Kostka. Several nieces and one nephew survive her along with her Victory Noll Sisters with whom she shared life and community for almost 70 years.

All services will be private with burial at Victory Noll Cemetery.
