EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

Director of Nursing

Victory Noll Life

Victory Noll Sisters strive to . . .
• be rooted and formed in the Word of God
• mirror Mary’s simplicity and hospitality
• nurture and strengthen our spirituality out of our call to be missionary
• build community wherever we may be — with our own sisters and with the persons among whom we minister
• be personal, non-institutional in our ministries.

One of the advantages of being a Victory Noll Sister is that we are a non-institutional community. Not bound to certain places by schools and hospitals, we’re free to move from place to place as needs arise.
This freedom of movement demands creative women adept at change and living with uncertainty. But it allows us to live among people who are powerless, sharing in their lives and struggles. Their faith and courage have a tremendous effect on our lives. They raise our awareness of injustice and results in our becoming involved in efforts to promote human rights and a better quality of life for all.

“Go to the poorest first. Always have preference for them.”
 — Fr. John Joseph Sigstein, founder

MISSION STATEMENT
Victory Noll embraces a Pontifical Congregation and an Association of Persons who are:
united in the mission of Jesus according to our unique charism;
a faith community consecrated to Mary, modeling our life after her life;
a missionary community of prayer and service that;
• responds to the needs of the emerging Church,
• stands in solidarity with the poor and oppressed
• commits to fostering justice through ministry and simple lifestyle, and
• takes a prophetic, non-institutional stance in Church and society.

CORPORATE STATEMENT
Rooted in our charism to proclaim the Gospel in solidarity with all persons — especially those living in poverty and oppression — we commit ourselves to ongoing prayer, study and action on behalf of human rights, justice and peace. We work for:
• Elimination of all weapons of mass destruction — nuclear, biological and chemical.
• Equality and justice for women and protection of children.
• Just and humane immigration policies.
• Ecological sustainability.
• Abolition of the death penalty.
• Resolution of conflict through diplomatic and peaceful negotiations.
Under each issue there are many concerns to be addressed, for example:
• Equality and justice for women and protection of children - trafficking and prostitution of women and children, domestic violence, equal pay for equal work, respect for life from conception to natural death, opportunity for education, etc.
• Just and humane immigration policies - human rights of refugees and immigrants, efforts for more just laws, illegal detention, etc.
• Ecological sustainability - global warming, pollution of land, air and water, cherishing the earth, etc.
We invite our Associates, families and friends to join us in these efforts in whatever way you are able. Let us work together for justice and for the coming of the Reign of God.

VOWED MEMBERSHIP
Victory Noll religious life is characterized by diversity and flexibility in prayer, community and ministry. It is a kind of faithfulness that can embrace the unknown and the questions of transition. It is also characterized by the kinds of hospitality and simplicity that find a Victory Noll woman standing with people in ministry – whether that ministry is direct service to the poor and oppressed or whether it is a ministry of challenging and changing the structures that oppress. She is a woman who is free to respond to the needs of the Church without being bound by institutions. And, she is a woman who comes daily before her God.

Congar Institute
for Ministry Development

   We want to minister to the culturally diverse Catholic population of this country, proclaiming Jesus Christ through evangelization, education and/or Christian formation. We would like to offer a solid Catholic teaching and ministries that speak to the needs of the faith communities, empowering the Laity, dedicating our prayer and ministry to the proclamation of God's Kingdom.
    That is why we have become part of a network of religious communities collaborating to assist home mission dioceses in their efforts to develop lay leadership and ministry. This is an initiative of the Home Missions Leadership Conference and the Congar Institute for Ministry Development.
