Strive to . . .
- be rooted and formed in the Word of God
- mirror Mary’s simplicity and hospitality
- nurture and strengthen our spirituality out of our call to be missionary
- build community wherever we may be — with our own sisters and with the persons among whom we minister
- be personal, non-institutional in our ministries.
Passing the Light of Mission and Charism to new members.
One of the advantages of being a Victory Noll Sister is that we are a non-institutional community. Not bound to certain places by schools and hospitals, we’re free to move from place to place as needs arise.
Sister Alodia Carney serves as intake worker at a free health clinic in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
This freedom of movement demands creative women adept at change and living with uncertainty. But it allows us to live among people who are powerless, sharing in their lives and struggles. Their faith and courage have a tremendous effect on our lives. They raise our awareness of injustice and results in our becoming involved in efforts to promote human rights and a better quality of life for all.
“Go to the poorest first. Always have preference for them.” — Fr. John Joseph Sigstein, founder
