Monthly Reflection

July 2011

EARTHLY MYSTIC

St. Maximus, an early Church Father, expresses the limited character of creation, which is the very condition of its existence.
Humans are not beings isolated from the rest of creation; by our very nature we are bound up with the whole universe.
St. Paul tells us "All creation awaits the future glory which will be revealed in the sons of God." Romans 8:18-22.

"When I change my level of awareness, I start attracting a different reality." — Diarmuid O'Murchu

In today's world we are in need of the mystic — a new way of life. Our human nature is not static. We are always in the process of becoming our true selves in God's creative Word in Jesus and His spirit of love.

Congar Institute
for Ministry Development

We want to minister to the culturally diverse Catholic population of this country, proclaiming Jesus Christ through evangelization, education and/or Christian formation. We would like to offer a solid Catholic teaching and ministries that speak to the needs of the faith communities, empowering the Laity, dedicating our prayer and ministry to the proclamation of God's Kingdom.
That is why we have become part of a network of religious communities collaborating to assist home mission dioceses in their efforts to develop lay leadership and ministry. This is an initiative of the Home Missions Leadership Conference and the Congar Institute for Ministry Development.
