Sister Guadalupe (Lupita) Aguilar Huanca of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters professed her final vows during a Eucharistic celebration before the OLVM Congregation on July 22 in the Archbishop Noll Memorial Chapel at Victory Noll.
Sr. Lupita, a native of Oruro, Bolivia, first entered Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters in 1999. She began her mission work in Bolivia at her home parish of San Pio X in Oruro. She most recently was missioned in Chicago. Sr. Lupita will spend the next year at Victory Noll.
The presider for the celebration was Reverend Carmelo Méndez. Readings were provided by Sr. Celia Sánchez, OLVM, and Sr. Guadalupe Flores Ocaña, OLVM. Sr. Mary Ellen Descourouez, OLVM, provided scripture reflection.
Sr. Beatrice Haines, president of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters, presided over the Rite of Perpetual Vow Profession for Sr. Lupita.
Music for the celebration was provided by Victory Noll Schola and organist Rosemary Stoffel.
