Leadership Team

Called to serve:
Victory Noll Leadership Team for 2004-2008

Leadership Team 2004Members of the Victory Noll Leadership Team for 2004-2008 include (left to right) Sisters Melanie Persche, Jeanette Halbach, Mary Jo Nelson and Lucille Martínez.

Every four years the Victory Noll Sisters come together to confirm the effectiveness of their ministries, evaluate their learnings, celebrate what has been accomplished and anticipate the future. This formal "coming together" is the convening of General Chapter, a sacred moment in the life of the Congregation.

One important task included on the chapter agenda is the selection of four members who will lead the Congregation into the future. Our new Leadership Team was elected at our General Chapter in March, 2004 and began their term on August 5, 2004. Reelected were Sisters Jeanette Halbach of Primghar, Iowa as president, Melanie Persche of Three Bridges, New Jersey as vice-president and Mary Jo Nelson of Portland, Oregon as general treasurer. Newly elected was Sister Lucille Martínez of Chimayo, New Mexico as team member.

The Sisters begin their four-year term with much hope. Their ministry will be two-fold:  internal, which includes renovation of Victory Noll, care of our retired and infirm Sisters, new members, formation, etc. and external: ministries in 15 states and in Bolivia, efforts for peace and justice, the associates partnership, networking with other congregations in common efforts and so much more. The Sisters and Associates are very much a part of all of this. We count on our readers to pray for God’s blessing on our efforts.

For those of you who are interested in knowing what level of education most Victory Noll Sisters have achieved, we have added a new page. This page includes vitas of this Leadership Team. Since we can’t tell you about each Sister in the Congregation, we thought to give you this information on the four as a microcosm of the Community.  Click here for the Vitae page.
