Home Place

The perennial questions for all human beings are: “Who am I?” and “What is my purpose in living?” Other questions a person may ask him/herself are:
“Who is God in my life?”
“How do I relate to Him now?”

“How do I want to relate to Him?”
“How do I live my life, given my personal circumstances, because of my answers to the above questions?”

Even those who have some kind of answer to these questions find it helpful to talk with someone to validate their way of living or to explore with them to find a more complete answer. At Home Place you will find someone to do this with you.

Home Place is dedicated to the development of the whole person — body, mind, feelings and spirit — with emphasis on spirit.

We can get caught up in life as lived around us or just get comfortable with how we always do things. Home Place offers a quiet setting to open up to the invitation of Wisdom, to the call of the Spirit to become the whole person we can be.

Reading Room
Persons who live in the area are welcome to use the library on the premises to read there. Call Home Place for days and times.

Individual Retreats
Home Place is at the foot of the mountains at the edge of the desert. It is in a 100-year-old house surrounded by a large yard in a quiet town. Half a block away Cottonwood Creek meanders past a park with boulders that invite sitting.

Individuals desiring a place for a day or a weekend of private reflection are welcome.

Small Group Retreats
Plan a day or an evening for your group, of whatever age, to meet at Home Place. Bring your own facilitator or talk with Sister Paula about what you want to do. She will be happy to work out a program to fit your needs.

The house can accomodate a group of twelve to fifteen people. The spacious backyard offers a place for all sorts of activities.

Below are some titles to give ideas of themes for those groups who would like to spend a day or an evening in reflection:
