“A “50th Year” Prayer:
‘Your life is hidden now with Christ in God.’ — Colosians 3:3
O God - I don’t mean to seem unobservant - or irrenent - or ungrateful - but fifty years have flown by since I came to Victory Noll as a young girl and I have no great accomplishments to report to the world-at-large from my years in California - Utah - Michigan - Pennsylvania - Indiana: no buildings built - no cures discovered - no mountains climbed - no new planets explored . . .
Rather - these fifty years have been filled with quiet, mostly hidden, seemingly insignificant responses to people who are hungry for You - wandering in search of You - thirsting for Your healing and hope . . .
And my joy for fifty years of tears - and fears - and jeers - and cheers - has been to receive your faithful love and amazing grace and then to share these with others I’ve met along the way.
I notice that You Yourself work mostly in secret - hidden - mysterious ways - away from the limelight - burrowing deep in the hearts of humans and between them - among them - to bring about the transformation of the world - one person at a time - into your Kindom of light and peace - love and joy.
O, the Mystery - the amazing grace - the quiet gift - the hidden preciousness - of such a call - to partnership with You! Thank You! Also, thank You for all those persons - and events - and situations during fifty years which have helped me to see - to hear - to celebrate - and to share this Mystery - amazing grace - quiet gift - hidden preciousness with others! Amen
‘This is not your own doing, it is God’s gift.’ — Ephesians 2:8”

I am grateful for the grace of God's call of vocation and for all the many people who have been a treasured part of my life — in my early family years in Iowa, in these years among my Sisters in the Community, and in my missionary years ministering in Michigan, California, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Indiana. The journey continues with the experience and blessings of the past and with the challenges of the future knowing God continues to be ever present and actively involved with miracles of grace in each and all of our lives.”
